Missing a tooth?

Whatever your story is, we can help!

Missing teeth are quite common.

BUT, replacement options have come a long way and fortunately we can help you learn more and find treatment that is best for YOU.

Here at Sipes Dental, we offer a more natural approach to replacing your missing tooth or teeth.

Dental implants look and feel similar to a natural tooth; however, the root of the tooth resembles a screw. The ‘screw’ is essentially integrated in your jaw at the site in which your old tooth once resided. As long as things heal properly after the implant (screw) is placed, a crown is attached to that screw so you are able to chew on it and keep it clean just like the rest of your teeth.

FAQs

Why is it important to replace a missing tooth?

There are various things that can occur in your mouth when you’re missing a tooth such as, bone loss, drifting and/or undesirable eruption from opposing teeth. Missing teeth can also result in difficulty chewing foods that are life-sustaining and can lead to possible malnourishment.

How long does the process from start to finish take?

It can vary at times because every patient is different, but typically it takes around 3-6 months start to finish.

When can I start chewing on an actual tooth?

Because this procedure is a bit involved, healing time is pertinent. That being said, the first few months you will be without a tooth. When you come in for your ‘uncovery appointment’, Dr. Sipes will take a look. As long as things have healed properly, then we can get you scheduled to place the crown shortly thereafter.

How much does it cost and does insurance cover this?

We currently have an implant special for $2,995 which includes the placement of a single dental implant and final restoration but, excludes any additional procedures such as ridge splits or sinus lifts. Learn more about our special here.

Various dental insurances may cover this, but we recommend either reaching out to your insurance company directly or calling us so we can help you obtain more information. Keep in mind that every insurance company and insurance plan is unique to you.

Does it hurt?

During the procedure, we use local anesthesia to ensure you are comfortable. We do all we can to keep you out of pain and may recommend any therapeutic drugs as needed. We encourage you, as a patient, to inform us of any dental anxiety you may have so we can accommodate as best as we can.
